Making it work: How my Media Literacy project came about for EDUA 7300

  The Idea      Media Literacy is quickly becoming a topic that I am passionate about. When I started thinking about my final project for EDUA 7300, I knew it would be about Media Literacy. I wanted to create something that would educate people about Media Literacy, but also be something that I could use in my high school classroom with my students.       I started out with an idea of a smartphone with apps that a person could click on and it would take them to different topics about Media Literacy, such as "What is Media Literacy?" "Fact-Checking," "Social Media," quizzes and resource articles. I wanted it to be interactive as well as informative.      I also wanted it to be a lesson that could be done in class or remotely.  What is Multimedia?     In today's modern technology world, multimedia projects have become a great way to teach, communicate, and show off creativity. By combining text, images, audio, video, and interaction, multimedia allows people to fully engage their audience in a powerful manner.  It provides an interaction between users and digital information (tutorialspoint, n.d.).       Multimedia also refers to the uses of computer technology to create, store and experience multimedia content.
