Training Teachers How to use
Media Literacy Skills in all Subject Areas
Melissa Perner's research seeks to inform and educate high
school teachers on the
importance of Media Literacy in all subject areas. This study involves
collaborating with fellow educators and upcoming educators to gather insights
and information on the educator's knowledge of media literacy and their
thoughts of learning how to use it in their classroom. By engaging
educators through at 20-30-minute survey, Perner is trying to identify the
importance of utilizing Media Literacy skills and knowledge in all high school
classroom settings. The survey results will help build training and
professional development programs to ensure educators receive the knowledge
about Media Literacy.
